Fall Campaigns: Naomi Campbell Growls for Givenchy and Raquel Zimmerman

via Fashionista by Dhani Mau on 6/29/11

The fall campaigns keep rolling in today, the latest of which feature some very big names. The first image from Givenchy’s Fall Women’s campaign surfaced on Style.com. It was shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and stars Naomi Campbell. If it looks like she’s making a slightly frightening scowl, that’s because the campaign (and the collection) is feline-inspired. Things get even crazier in the behind-the-scenes video of the shoot which features Naomi, Natalia Vodianova, Kristen McMenamy, and Mariacarla Boscono posing on ornate pillows with their best growl faces. Unfortunately, we can’t hear if the models are actually saying “grr,” but that’s probably a good thing.

YSL kept things a little simpler, as they tend to do. According to WWD, Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin shot Raquel Zimmermann in New York City on the 31st floor of a midtown skyscraper. One look is more daytime and business-like, while the other is more glamorous and looks to have been shot at night. Click through for all the images and Givenchy’s behind-the-scenes video.

Do you need an oral sex refresher course?

Ask any woman how many times she's laid on her back, bored and frustrated, her clit having retreated deep inside her, with some unfortunate, badly educated man between her legs, lapping like a thirsty dog; tongue aching and almost numb, the only stiff part of him being his neck. I think you'll be surprised at the answer. Here's how to do it properly...

Snow Bunny Chic, Hot Looks For Cold Weather!

The winter season is in full swing. And that means it's time to hit the slopes. Skiing is such an exhilarating sport and one that I've been learning for the past 5 years. As much as I love the sport itself - the anticipation that builds while your on the lift, the thrill you experience as you first rush down the mountain, the peace of mind you have as you find your rhythm and skillfully maneuver your way down to the bottom - I really enjoyed buying all the gear that comes with it.

Seeing Damp;G's Fall 2010 collection revived an excitement for hitting the slopes and looking as stylish as possible. Their collection was filled with traditional winter motifs but paired with unexpected pieces like a snowflake sweater bodysuit and reindeer full body all in ones. So to get you ready for ski season, we've gathered some fashionably chic ski gear essentials to not only keep you warm but also looking your best as you ski down the mountain slopes or lounge in front of a fireplace in the lodge.

Check this out! "Ltd. Edition TAG Heuer Steve McQueen Motorcycle Helmet

In November 2009 my colleague Jeremy Korzeniewski wrote about Triumph and TAG Heuer joining forces to create a one-of-a-kind Bonneville Heuer motorcycle inspired by Steve McQueen and the Porsche 917 that the famous actor, racecar driver and motorcycle rider piloted in the classic film Le Mans. Unfortunately the super-cool bike was never offered for sale. Now however TAG Heuer has come out with a limited edition motorcycle helmet also inspired by the King of Cool, who wore a Heuer Monaco watch in the film. The retro-styled fiberglass helmet, which features a racing stripe matching the colors on McQueen's driving gear, vintage Heuer logo, steel hardware and leather trim, is priced at about $650.

Check out: "Ermenegildo Zegna Celebrates a Century of Style"

The subtitle of a lavish new book on Ermenegildo Zegna - An Enduring Passion for Fabrics, Innovation, Quality and Style - is an apt description of the Italian luxury men's fashion house's core values. Celebrating the famed firm's 100th anniversary, the book from Skira is divided into four chapters - Mind, Hand, Style and Environment - exploring the origins and values of the brand and the four generations of family members who have made it a success story while remaining committed to the concept of "ethical expansion". As evidence of the latter, Ermenegildo Zegna is donating 20% of the retail sales of the book to the children's educational charity Care amp; Share.

Each chapter is introduced by noted international writers and accompanied by images that retrace the history of the Zegna brand, from ad campaigns to previously unpublished images. "Today we celebrate one hundred years since the foundation of our Group and we look towards future global developments," notes the company's CEO Ermenegildo Zegna, "as it is our duty to continue to represent the values of excellence and Italian quality all around the world. This is the heritage that our grandfather left us: savoir faire in craftsmanship, entrepreneurship and loyalty to our ethical founding values." See the gallery for a preview.

Everything Old Is New Again With Yves Saint Laurent's New Vintage III #fashion

Yves Saint Laurent creative director Stefano Pilati has gone into the archives again for the brand's latest project. New Vintage III is the third capsule collection from YSL that is comprised of garments made from recycled fabric and from existing patterns. The 180 pieces include classic YSL shapes such as metallic wide leg trousers, velvet tuxedo suiting jackets and leopard-print wrap dresses that look back to the 1970s designs when YSL dressed celebrities like Bianca Jagger and Catherine Deneuve. The goal of the collection is to marry "feminine refinement with sustainability." YSL's New Vintage III is available in limited, numbered editions at YSL flagship boutiques in Paris, London and New York.
